The VALOR Initiative strives to enhance the immediate and long-term safety, wellness, and resilience of our nation’s law enforcement officers. By offering no-cost professional education, conducting research, providing valuable resources, and establishing beneficial partnerships, VALOR equips law enforcement officers with innovative skills and tools.
Continuously adapting to address complex and evolving issues, the VALOR Initiative integrates the latest research and practices to promote all aspects of officer safety, wellness, resilience, and performance. Recognizing that local, state, and national events can impact officers’ abilities to face challenges in the line of duty, VALOR remains responsive to these dynamic needs.
Supported by the Department of Justice and the Bureau of Justice Assistance, the VALOR Initiative is committed to fostering strong and positive partnerships between law enforcement officers and the communities they serve, ensuring mutual safety and well-being. NAWLEE proudly supports the work of the Bureau of Justice Assistance as a partner in advancing this vital initiative.
