Stacy began her career with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office in 1998 working in the areas of Court Room Security, Patrol, Field Training, Training, and Corrections. She has developed and taught classes for both the Corrections and Operations Divisions covering, Report Writing, OC, Biased Based Policing, High Risk Car Stops, Trends in Law Enforcement, Legal Issues, and Supervising in a Direct Supervision Facility.
In 2009, Stacy created and implemented a 12 week Corrections Academy for new recruits to coincide with a defendable training program for all Jail Training Officers. In 2010, she created the Agencies first Citizen’s Academy, opening the doors of Law Enforcement to establish trust and open communication with the public.
An active NAWLEE member since 2009, Stacy is also a Certified Public Manager through the University of Kansas. She holds an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice and Bachelor Degree in Business Administration through Baker University.
