Introduction Statement:

Indiana University is accepting applications for a Police Officer position. This is a University wide position

posting. Vacancy may be on at one of the following campus locations: Bloomington, Gary, Indianapolis,

Kokomo, New Albany, Richmond or South Bend.

Indiana University’s Law Enforcement Officer is a position for the fully empowered police officer. This position

performs law enforcement work to ensure a safe, secure and service oriented environment. Position will be

focused on investigations that are related to narcotics use. Assists other law enforcement agencies as

needed

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED

Officer 3rd Class Requirements:

REQUIRED: High school diploma or GED.

Officer 2nd Class Requirements:

REQUIRED: Associate’s Degree and two years law enforcement experience OR High school diploma or GED

and four years prior law enforcement experience.

Officer 1st Class Requirements:

REQUIRED: Bachelor’s Degree and three years law enforcement experience, including one year comparable

university experience OR High school diploma or GED and six years law enforcement experience, including

one year comparable university experience.
